TutorLuke Lesson Flow

5-10 Mins
Warm-Up
All lessons will start with a brief warm-up, this includes general introductions if it’s our first time, basic greetings and talking about recent events in the world. The lesson topic we will focus on will also be introduced by the instructor, or if you have any special requests, we will talk about them.
35 - 40 Mins
Conduct Lesson
After our warm-up, we will start the lesson. A typical lesson focuses primarily on learning new words and phrases which are used naturally by natives. Lessons will also contain a few role-plays in order for you to retain the information and practice using the new language in more natural situations. Please feel free to ask questions at any time!
5 Mins
Feedback/Finish
Once the lesson is almost finished, the instructor will give you feedback and give you some strong points and points to improve.  After the lesson is finished, your instructor will write you a personalized message about the lesson along with the lesson's new vocabulary and phrases, all of which you can access from your dashboard.

Not sure about your English Level?

Don't worry, leave it to me!
Please don’t worry if you’re not able to assess your own English level. At my current job, it is my duty to assess student’s levels to make sure they’re learning just enough English to retain. Assessing yourself too high will result in an overload of information with too much to remember, while assessing yourself too low will not feel so rewarding since you’re probably not learning as much as you would like or should. Here is a simple procedure I use when conducting the first lessons:
1
At the beginning of your first lesson, you will be asked to fill out a self-assessment form that has a list of ability statements (checklists). Depending on how many ability statements you check will give me a better understanding of your current level in English.
2
Next, a lesson will be conducted at the level previously self-assigned by yourself. If the level is a mismatch, which sometimes happens, then I will be sure to adjust accordingly during the lesson. It is important for you to feel comfortable, and not receive a lesson which is too easy or too difficult.
3
At the end of the lesson, I will provide you with a level that is most suitable for you in order to progress in the most efficient way. Although this level may be different from what you initially expected, it will definitely be the most beneficial for your English growth.
